Bertrend stars in Easter Saturday Stableford

A Stableford competition was held at the Karratha Golf Club on Easter Saturday, which drew a great turnout of more than 40 players.

It was a great day for Tyson Bertrend, who was overall winner with a net total of 40 points and won best gross score with 69 strokes.

However, he had close competition, with Rick Cowan (40 points net) only finishing second on a countback and Supatta Shaw (39 points net) coming in third, just one point behind both.

A long list of novelty winners included Mick Boladeras (longest putt on No.9), David Thoms (longest putt on No.15), Maguerite Jacka (long drive on No.2), David Innes (long drive on No.12), Ken Willcocks (best third shot on No.6), Daniel Hyde (best second shot on No.4) and Wez Lynn (best second shot on No.13).

Nearest the pin winners included Dave Ace (on No.5), Rod Lee (on No.8) and Digger Holmes (on No.11).
