Teen arrested after ‘out of control’ party in Dawesville

Police were forced to shut down a large “out of control” party in Dawesville last night.

Officers were called to the Narembeen Road home about 10:40pm after receiving reports of disturbances and street drinking in the area.

The house was packed out with about 100 youths, with another 20-30 out on the street, when they arrived on scene.

By about 12:30am police declared it as an “out of control gathering.”

It is understood the party was shut down after police spoke to the organiser of the event.

Officers remained present for some time while all party goers departed the house and the area.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested for disorderly and fail to disperse.
