A crash on Mitchell Freeway southbound blocked a lane on the major Perth road, as commuters head home for the weekend.

The crash was located on the Freeway southbound exit to Graham Farmer Freeway and was reported by Main Roads at 6.06pm.

The left lane was closed by Incident Response.

The crash has since been cleared, but traffic remains slow on approach.
