A body believed to be that of triple murderer Julian Ingram has been found, three months after the gunman went on the run.
NSW Police confirmed that a body of a man in his late 30s had been found next to an abandoned ute at a nature reserve north-west of Lake Cargelligo.
“On arrival, police located the body of a man who is believed to be aged in his late 30s. He is yet to be formally identified and a crime scene has been established,” police said.
“An extensive investigation has been continuing since the deaths of three people in the town, about 4.30pm on Thursday 22 January 2026.”
Ingram, 37, has been at large since January 22 after a domestic violence-related shooting spree at Lake Cargelligo in central-west NSW.
Ingram fatally shot three people hours after he reported for bail at a police station.
Sophie Quinn, 25, and her friend John Harris, 32, were found dead with gunshot wounds inside a car on Bokhara Street around 4.30pm. Both were treated by emergency crews but tragically died at the scene.
Ms Quinn’s aunt, Nerida Quinn, 50, was also killed and her neighbour, Kaleb Macqueen, 19, was seriously injured after Mr Ingram opened fire at the pair in the driveway of a home on Walker Street shortly after the first shooting.
Nerida died at the scene, while Mr Macqueen was taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Ingram was last seen driving out of town in a Ford Ranger ute with NSW registration DM-07-GZ.
