The Port Hedland Chamber of Commerce presented a cheque for $71,594.00 to cancer support service Reach Us Pilbara in November off the back of their Pink Breakfast fundraiser in October this year.

The giant cheque was presented by Noeleen McCann from Horizon Power, who sponsored the event, to Reach Us Pilbara founder Stacey Hambley.

Reach Us Pilbara said they would use a portion of the money raised to continue transporting Hedland cancer patients to Karratha for their treatment in conjunction with Hedland ride-share service, H Ride.

PHCC chief executive officer Claire Boyce thanked the community for getting behind the Pink Breakfast.

“We would like to thank Kevin Michel MLA, Morag Lowe from Hedland First National Real Estate, Mark Komene from Fortescue and Tegan Read from Fortescue for their support of this wonderful cause,” she said.
