More Hedland venues close

The list of Hedland venues closed has grown after directives issued by Prime Minister Scott Morrison to help contain the spread of COVID-19 in the community.

South Hedland Aquatic Centre and Gratwick Aquatic Centre will close at 8pm tonight and will remain closed until further notice.

The JD Hardie Youth Zone will close from 6pm tonight and also remain closed until further notice.

Barbecues at public open spaces will be disconnected from today to discourage social gatherings.

The locations join the already closed Wanangkura Stadium and gym, the South Hedland Library and the Matt Dann Theatre and Cinema.
