Budding artists up to the age of 15 have the chance for their work to be featured on the cover of the Dinninup Show program.

Entrants are required to produce a piece with the theme Horses in Action which is the theme of this year’s show.

Upper Blackwood Agricultural Society secretary Lyn Chambers organised the competition and said they were bringing it back after a hiatus.

“We want the community to be involved with the show, because of COVID, things have been quite different for everyone and we thought by having a competition that would help highlight the show and bring people together,” she said.

All mediums of work are accepted, as long as they fit within the constraints of the program size, which is 14cm by 13.5cm.

Mrs Chambers offered some tips to potential entrants.

“Bright colours usually draw attention to the cover itself, but it’s really up to the individual, they can use anything they like,” she said.

The winner has the chance to win $60 worth of arts supplies from Jackson’s Drawing Supplies.

Entries close on August 14 and can be submitted at the Boyup Brook Co-op.
