The work of the Southern Forests Photography Club is on display at the Manjimup Art Gallery as part of a new exhibition.

Emerging from the Darkroom showcases photographs from the club’s 2020 annual photography exhibition and includes categories from open-mono, colour and youth under 16.

Among the photographs are images of star-filled night skies, coastlines, flora and fauna.

Exhibition participant Emily Read has four photographs in the exhibition.

“I have been taking photos for about 10 months now, after I got my camera for Christmas,” she said. “I would love to keep doing this moving forward.

“There are a lot of great photos to come and see at the exhibition.”

Manjimup shire president Paul Omodei said these kinds of exhibitions fostered creativity, innovation and an opportunity for photographers to display their work to a wider audience.

The exhibition opened on Friday and will be open until November 13.
