Country Club Cobras have put their division 1 winter eight ball rivals on notice after they last week upset flag favourites Star and Garter Pirates.
Pirates were short-handed but Cobras took full advantage while keeping alive their top-two hopes.
And it was business-as-usual for Grand Trolley Boys, who were too good for Tower Jokers.
The upsets continued in the second division when the top-two sides, Country Club Rack Pack and Grand Tigers, were defeated by Country Club Kings and Grand Workers, respectively.
On the back of seven wins in eight matches, the fifth-placed Kings edged within a game of first-placed Rack Packs.
Also enjoying the spoils of success were Grand Troupe, Gala Warriors and Grand Mafia.
In this Thursday night’s headline clashes, division 1 attention will be at the Country Club as Cobras look to build on last week’s success against Jokers, while Main Reef Breakers chase an upset while hosting Rack Pack.
