Tomorrow marks 30 years since a landmark royal commission report into Aboriginal deaths in custody was handed to the Federal Government.

This report contained 339 recommendations to prevent Blak deaths in custody but over the past three decades, all levels of Government have failed to introduce services, policies or legislation which has resulted in Aboriginal people continuing to die.

Starting tomorrow, the first of our original five-part series by The West Australian’s Rangi Hirini will investigate deaths that shocked the nation and inflicted deep suffering on First Nations people.

Part One will be available for FREE from tomorrow, exclusive to thewest.com.au
