LATEST COVID-19 DEVELOPMENTS:

* Australia notched 10 consecutive days without a locally acquired case as the number of infections reported across the globe surpassed 100 million.

* Australia is seeking more information from New Zealand health authorities before restarting quarantine-free travel after two fresh coronavirus infections.

* A 72-hour pause on the one-way travel bubble is due to end at 2pm on Thursday, but a decision on whether to extend it could come down to the wire.

* A new $24 million advertising campaign is being rolled out to encourage Australians to get coronavirus vaccines.

AUSTRALIAN CORONAVIRUS NUMBERS:

* There were seven new virus cases recorded in Australia on Monday; two in NSW, Victoria and WA, and one in Queensland. All were diagnosed in hotel quarantine.

* The national death toll is 909: Victoria 820, NSW 56, Tasmania 13, WA 9, Queensland 6, SA 4, ACT 3. (Two Queensland residents who died in NSW have been included in the official tolls of both states).

GLOBAL CORONAVIRUS NUMBERS:

* Cases: at least 100,270,000

* Deaths: at least 2,157,000

* Recovered: at least 55,387,000.
