Dongara police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a teenage girl was hit by a white utility vehicle yesterday afternoon.

A WA Police spokesman said the 19-year-old was riding home from work along Point Leander Drive at 1.45pm on Monday, when it’s believed she got into an argument with a female driver.

“As a result, the car came in contact with the bicycle, knocking the woman onto the ground,” he said.

“She was not injured and continued the ride home.”

The incident occurred near the intersection of Sundew Avenue and Point Leander Drive, just north of the St John Ambulance sub centre, according to the spokesman.

He urged witnesses to contact Dongara Police on 9955 9300 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
