Police are appealing for the owners of more than 100 power tools to come forward and claim their property after the items were seized during the search of a home last month.

Geraldton Police Station officer-in-charge Sen. Sgt Chris Martin said the tools were seized by detectives in late June but so far only one person had come to the station to claim their tools.

“I can only imagine how much it’s all worth,” he said. “Hopefully we can get some more of these items back into their rightful hands.”

He said the items were suspected to be stolen goods and asked tradies or anyone else who had lost the valuable items to come forward.

“If we can’t find the owners they’ll have to go to auction — we’d prefer to get them to their rightful owners.”
