Fifteen residential lots at Geraldton’s Batavia Coast Marina’s Station Square precinct released for sale

Fifteen inner-city residential lots have been unlocked to boost supply in the city, with the blocks at Batavia Coast Marina’s Station Square precinct released for sale. On top of this, a grouped dwelling lot and mixed-use lot will be released later this year as part of the marina’s stage-two project and combined these lots will provide up to 40 new homes in Geraldton. The 15 central lots will be for low-maintenance, “lock-and-leave” homes, catering to demand from local buyers, downsizers and regional workers. “Our Government is committed to unlocking land for new housing across regional Western Australia, and these new residential lots will deliver high‑quality homes right in the heart of Geraldton,” Planning and Lands Minister John Carey said. “Batavia Coast Marina is delivering diverse housing options in a prime waterfront location, while also supporting economic growth, attracting investment, boosting tourism and supporting local workers and businesses.” Geraldton-based Labor MLC Sandra Carr said: “This land release will support our growing population locally, delivering new homes well-located near Geraldton’s city centre.” The stage two marina development is backed by $4.4 million from the State Government, alongside existing funding through the Regional Development Assistance Program and Royalties for Regions, delivered in partnership with the Mid West Development Commission, City of Greater Geraldton and Yamatji Southern Regional Corporation. Stage two of the project aims to turn 6ha of vacant land in the CBD into a residential, commercial and retail hub, with earthworks starting back in May 2025.
