Derelict Batavia Motor Inne sale price revealed

The sale price of one of Geraldton’s most infamous properties has been revealed, while the owners remain secretive about their plans for the site.

The derelict former Batavia Motor Inne at 54 Fitzgerald Street, Geraldton, was purchased for $572,000.

The owner is a company called 54 Fitzgerald Pty Ltd, which was registered as a company the day before the sale, with settlement finalised in mid-September.

The company is part-owned by Giuseppe “Joe” Scaffidi, a property developer and husband of ex-City of Perth Lord Mayor Lisa Scaffidi, along with fellow directors Michael O’Sullivan, 42, and Anthony Scaffidi, 45.

City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Shane Van Styn hoped to meet them this month as plans for the site had not been revealed.
