Police seek information after man walking dog ‘punched by stranger’ in Fremantle
Detectives are calling on the public for information after a man was punched by a stranger while walking his dogs in South Fremantle.
The 64-year-old man was on a side-street near Wardie Street about 8am on Thursday May 6 when a man who police say was not known to the victim approached him.
“The pair briefly exchanged words before the unknown man punched the victim twice in the face,” a police statement said.
He suffered a serious eye injury and was taken to Royal Perth Hospital where he was treated.
Detectives have released CCTV footage of a man they believe might be able to assist them with their inquiries into the incident.
