A fire that severely damaged a shed in Mt Claremont is believed to be suspicious.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Lisle Street near Cleland Street about 8:35pm, after receiving reports of some bins on fire.

Four firefighting crews arrived from Daglish and Claremont to find a shed at the property engulfed in flames.

It took about 20 minutes to get the fire under control and a further 10 to put it out entirely. No-one was injured.

Firefighters told 7NEWS Perth the cause was deliberate.

The Department of Fire and Emergency Services is set to investigate it today.
