Local police, the RAC rescue helicopter, Marine Rescue Cape Naturaliste, Surf Life Saving helicopter and jet ski assets have been deployed in the search.

St John Ambulance is also assisting at the scene.

More to come.

The news comes only months after 23-year-old Singaporean national Heng Yi Goh was thrown into the ocean at Injidup Nature Spa on June 29.

Weeks later, polce announced they had found human remains near Wyadup Rocks, believed to be Mr Goh.

The West Australian understands the UWA student had climbed down several rocks and was trying to take a photo at a popular selfie spot when he was washed off a 6m ledge into the water.

It is understood he was not wearing a lifejacket at the time.

He was with a group of five friends who raised the alarm.
