A bushfire burning at Bullsbrook has been downgraded to an advice warning and is no longer a threat to lives and homes in the area, close to the iconic Outback Splash waterpark in Perth’s northeast.

An emergency warning was issued at 1.58pm on Wednesday for the area bound by Martin Road to the north, Tonkin Highway to the east, Neaves Road to the south, and Kirby Road to the west.

Emergency WA say the fire is not contained and controlled but is stationary, and people in the area should stay informed as of 4.52pm.

Davidson Street and Bingham Road to the north of the intersection with Pine Road have been reopened with reduced speed limits.

The iconic waterpark Outback Splash is within the evacuation zone, and has issued a statement saying the park was closed from 2.25pm.

There is a lot of smoke covering the area, after residents as far away as Joondalup reported ash rained down from the fire earlier in the afternoon.

  • Watch for signs of a bushfire, especially smoke and flames.
