Police investigate suspicious Karratha death

Police are investigating a suspicious death in Karratha.

The investigation was sparked after a woman was found dead at a home on Thursday afternoon in the Karratha suburb of Bulgarra.

Homicide detectives from Perth flew to Karratha early this morning to investigate the woman’s death.

A man is speaking with police as part of the investigation.

In a statement police said at about 1.40pm officers were told that St John Ambulance was treating a woman with serious injuries at a home in Warrier Street. The injured woman was taken to Karratha Health Campus where she later died.

The man assisting with the investigation is known to the woman, say police.
