Man slashed with knife outside Beeches Tavern in Beechboro

A woman has been arrested after a man was slashed with a knife outside a northern suburbs tavern.

Police say the man was standing out the front of Beeches Tavern in Beechboro with two others, when a woman was refused entry to the pub and became angry and upset.

When the group tried to help move the woman on, she allegedly attempted to stab the man with a small knife.

The man was taken to Royal Perth Hospital with a shoulder wound, but discharged himself a short time later.

Police say while the man said he didn’t want to make a complaint or press charges, the investigation will continue.
