Man, 24, allegedly glassed at Northbridge nightspot, Henry Summer

A 33-year-old man has been charged after a glassing incident in Northbridge early Saturday morning.

At about 1am the Duncraig man approached another man, a 24-year-old, before allegedly striking him to the face with a glass at Henry Summer on Aberdeen Street.

The victim received a serious laceration to his face.

Friends and other members of the public conducted emergency first aid and he was taken to Royal Perth Hospital by St John Ambulance.

The alleged offender was detained by security staff and other patrons until police arrived and took him into custody.

He has been charged with Unlawful Wounding and is due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on October 24.
