Police are throwing multiple resources at the search for missing man Luke Ben Hazelwood, who abandoned his car outside a Lancelin hotel on Christmas Eve.

The 32-year-old was last known to be travelling in a maroon SsangYong Stavic station sedan before the vehicle was abandoned in the parking area of the Lancelin Sands Hotel about 5am on Wednesday, December 24.

Sergeant Michael Paterson, officer in charge of Lancelin police, urged anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to contact crime stoppers.

“Mr Hazelwood is described as being approximately 185cm tall, of medium build, with brown hair and hazel eyes,” he said.

He was reported missing to police on January 5 — significant police resources have been committed to locating Mr Hazlewood, however, he’s not yet been found.

“Police are doing everything we can to find out where Mr Hazlewood may have gone, and to confirm that he is okay,” he said.

“Officers are continuing to make inquiries into his potential movements, and we are appealing to the community with help for this.”

WA Police on Wednesday released CCTV of Mr Hazelwood’s vehicle, with WA registration 1GDR454, travelling in the Lancelin area prior to his disappearance.

A police spokesman said he was known to frequent Yanchep and surrounding areas, but that there was a possibility he may have travelled beyond those locations.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police immediately on 131 444 or via crime stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online.

CCTV relevant to the investigation can be uploaded directly to police here.
