SNAPSHOT OF VICTORIA'S CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK:
NEW CASES
* 867 new locally acquired cases
* Another 140 cases from September 27 and nine from September 26
* Four deaths: Two from Whittlesea, man in his 80s and woman in her 50s, and two from Hume, woman in her 80s and man in his 70s
* Three people who died were unvaccinated, vaccine status of woman in her 50s is unknown
* Death toll from the current outbreak: 29
* 9261 active cases in the state
* Of the latest cases in metropolitan Melbourne:
- More than 50 per cent in northern suburbs, including 270 in Hume, 125 Whittlesea, 88 Moreland, 43 Darebin, 24 Banyule
- In west: 55 cases in Melton, 51 Wyndham, 54 Brimbank and 28 Moonee Valley
- In southeast: 45 cases in Casey, 20 in Port Phillip, and 16 in Greater Dandenong
- In east: 14 cases in Maroondah, 14 in Knox and 10 in the Yarra Ranges
* 28 cases in regional Victoria including:
- 12 in Latrobe Valley
- Five in Mitchell Shire
- Two in Geelong
- Two in Baw Baw
- Two in Shepparton
- One in Corangamite
- One in Warrnambool
- One in Macedon Ranges
- One in Gannawarra
- One in Horsham, who is currently in Melbourne
* Outbreaks of concern
- 11 total cases from a Bridge Road, Richmond construction site
- 29 total cases from Meadow Heights aged care facility
* 375 people in hospital - an increase of 12 from Monday - of which 81 are in intensive care including 61 on a ventilator
* 49,450 COVID-19 test results received to Tuesday morning
VACCINATIONS
* 35,160 COVID-19 vaccine doses on Monday at state-run hubs
* 79 per cent of Victorians aged 16 and over have had at least one dose and 48 per cent are fully vaccinated
EXPOSURE SITES
* More than 572 exposure sites, including several Woolworths supermarkets in Craigieburn, Kerang, Epping and Sunbury.
