Amid the AFL’s 20 consecutive days of footy, Carlton’s Jack Martin was named one of Carlton’s best against Hawthorn last Friday afternoon at Optus Stadium.

Although the fast-starting Blues did not get the result they wanted in their first game on the west coast, Broome-born Martin was named one of Carlton’s best.

He had a great game under pressure in the midfield, amassing 15 disposals — 10 of which were contested — two goals, three score involvements, 15 pressure acts, three clearances and four tackles.

One of several Kimberley-born players, Sam Petrevski-Seton, had a solid game in defence, finishing with eight disposals, two marks and 12 pressure acts.
