Black Staffy X found dead in suitcase in Kalgoorlie, RSPCA seeking information
A dead dog has been found in a suitcase in Kalgoorlie.
An RSPCA WA inspector was called to the grim discovery at Piccadilly Dam near the corner of Throssell Street on Wednesday morning.
A vet examination revealed the black Staffy X had been deceased for several days, and likely dead before being put in the suitcase.
The RSPCA said the dog had a prolapsed uterus and had recently had a litter of puppies.
“We are very concerned for the welfare of her pups, who could be as young as one week old,” the RSPCA said.
“We are calling on anyone who knows anything about this dog or her puppies, or who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area, to please call the RSPCA on 1300 278 358.”
