A Perth woman has tragically been found dead days after she was last seen at popular Albany tourist spot The Gap, police announced on Monday morning.

Naomi Marie Duckett was the subject of a large-scale land and sea search over the Easter long weekend, with police scouring the area of Torndirrup National Park where she was last seen at 11.45am on April 2.

A police spokeswoman confirmed the 51-year-old’s body was located in early hours of Monday morning.

The active search was scaled back on Sunday around 11am.

Her death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.

Ms Duckett had travelled alone to Albany from Perth on April 1, and she was reported missing the next day.

A multi-agency search including police air wing, volunteer marine rescue and watercraft, Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions, the City of Albany, police drones and police officers examining the coastline commenced shortly after.

DBCA evacuated The Gap, Natural Bridge and Cable Beach on Good Friday afternoon and closed The Gap Road to allow police to conduct their search operation.

Sgt Vaughan Mackay said Ms Duckett was captured by CCTV at the area in the national park and believed visitors may have seen her in the vicinity of The Gap and Natural Bridge, a well-visited tourist spot.
