Letter to the Editor: A timely decision is needed regarding Albany’s ageing gas pipes, writes Richard Norman

It’s time for the WA Government to show its hand and advise the Albany community what it’s going to do about our ageing gas pipes.
Will the government fork out the millions to replace and expand the network?
If not, will funds be made available for bottled gas installation?
Perhaps a better solution would be to provide a sufficient financial incentive for consumers to install rooftop solar hot water.
After all, this would be consistent with the recent solar battery incentives and a move away from fossil fuels.
