Police are investigating a suspicious fire that was sparked in a plot of Orana bushland late on Monday afternoon and calling for information that may help their inquiries.
Emergency services were summoned to the incident at the end of Abercorn Street about 4.40pm when neighbours reported smoke coming from the bush reserve.
Two crews from Albany Fire and Rescue Service arrived and managed to extinguish the blaze — which spanned 15m by 15m — by 5.10pm.

Firefighters on scene determined there were at least three ignition points for the scrub fire and deeming the circumstances to be suspicious, handed the scene over to police.
