There was a heightened police presence in Albany’s entertainment precinct on Friday and Saturday night in the wake of this month’s street brawl.

Six additional officers were rostered on for both nights to patrol Stirling Terrace and York Street.

Albany officer-in-charge Sen. Sgt Hugh Letessier said a truck and caravan were placed in a carpark near the Stirling Terrace Indoor Markets to provide extra lighting.

On Friday night, one person was cautioned for street drinking and another received a summons for allegedly returning a positive breath test in excess of 0.05.

Police issued three move-on notices to patrons in the precinct on Saturday night for disorderly behaviour.
