Aviation Heritage Museum open day

Saturday June 27, 4pm, Aviation Heritage Museum, Bull Creek

The RAAFA museum will unveil its newest exhibit with a free family open day. As well as viewing the restored Beechcraft Baron — a former Royal Flying Doctor Service aircraft flown by pioneering WA aviator and nurse Robin “Sugarbird Lady” Miller — visitors can learn all about Miller’s legacy as well as taking in the museum’s wider collection of aircraft and artefacts, plus a range of family-friendly activities.

A pop-up ice rink will return to the Mandurah waterfront just in time for the winter school holidays, as part of the City of Mandurah’s Winter in Mandurah events series. The 45-minute all-abilities ice-skating sessions are designed for ages three and older, and there will also be winter markets running on Fridays from 5pm-8pm along the foreshore.

Online tickets $12 plus booking fee for ages three to four, and $22 plus booking fee for ages five and over; in-person tickets $15 plus booking fee for ages three to four and $26 plus booking fee for ages five and over
