Billie Eilish announces new music from second album Happier Than Ever on the way
Pop prodigy Billie Eilish has sent fans into a frenzy, revealing new music is on the way within days and when her new album will drop.
The 19-year-old singing sensation has been teasing the follow up to her debut album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? since last year, after she made history as the youngest artist to receive nominations and win all the major categories at the 2020 Grammy awards.
Now the singer has confirmed she will be dropping her second full album, Happier Than Ever, on July 30.
But fans won’t have to wait another three months to hear her new music — promising a taste of what’s to come with a new single set to drop this Friday.
Music lovers first began to suspect that Eilish was on the brink of releasing new music when she debuted a massive hair transformation — doing away with her Gothic green and black locks for a soft blonde 70s inspired do.
Now the singer has released her full album artwork featuring her new blowout, that looks to be inspired by Lana Del Ray’s sad melancholy and Miley Cyrus’ punk rock haircut.
Just like her first album, Happier Than Ever features no outside influence and is the sole creation of her and producer brother Finneas.
In a post to her Instagram, Eilish said her latest album was “my favourite thing I’ve ever created”.
“I’m so excited and nervous and EAGER for you to hear it,” she wrote.
“I can’t even tell you. I’ve never felt so much love for a project than I do for this one. hope you feel what I feel.”
