VideoThe Aussie singer has dropped a short preview of her live stage show.

Aussie singer Delta Goodrem has dropped a 30-second sneak peek of her Eurovision stage performance just days out from the singing contest’s launch this week.

The beloved performer — affectionately known as Delta — is no stranger to the limelight, and had been teasing her performance in recent days after enjoying a couple of stage rehearsals at Vienna’s Wiener Stadthalle.

Arguably the nation’s most high profile flag bearer at the event since debuting in 2015, Goodrem, 41, is set to perform her recent single Eclipse to a global audience of more than 160 million viewers.

She will take the stage on Friday, May 15 from 3am WST in Semi Final 2.

In an extended clip of her showcase, the magnetic vocalist’s power and stage presence reveals itself as she belts out the first chorus, shimmering in a golden and sequined frock as celestial light washes over the screen behind her.

The singer’s vision has been brought to life by staging directors and producers Dan Shipton and Ross Nicholson, with the song co-written by Delta herself.

As a classical trained pianist, Delta has also incorporated piano and the harp into what promises to be a spellbinding performance

While the Innocent Eyes singer’s vocals will be front and centre, fans may be captivated by her outfit that required more than 500 hours of craftmanship to piece together.

Crafted by Velani by Nicky, the delicate gown has been adorned with upwards of 7,000 Swarovski crystals in a tribute to the Austrian jewellery brand, which was founded in in 1895.

As Eurovision celebrates its milestone 70th year this week, Delta hopes to captivate viewers by weaving her own story and background into that which celebrates the contest’s history.

“Performing on the Eurovision stage is something I feel so deeply in my heart, carrying Australia with me in every note and every moment,” Delta said.

“I wanted the staging to move like the Universe itself, embracing light and shade, softness, and strength. It was also incredibly important to me to wear the vision of Australian designers, while weaving in the beauty and elegance of our host city, Vienna.

“I feel incredibly lucky to be surrounded by such a talented creative team. When collaboration feels this connected, it really does feel like true alignment. I can’t wait for you all to see it!”

Incidentally, Vienna was also the host city in 2015 when Australia debuted at the song contest, with Guy Sebastian placing 12th.

The nation’s best ever finish came just one year later, as Dami Im placed second following her performance of Sound of Silence.
