Alex Cooper has always told her supporters to “call her daddy”, but now she’s moving into a new era.

The 31-year-old and her film producer husband, Matt Kaplan, are expecting their first child.

The Call Her Daddy podcast host shared the news with her Instagram followers on Sunday night.

“Daddy gang, there is something I’ve been waiting to share with you,” she wrote on her Instagram story for her 7.3 million followers.

Then came the grid post.

In the two images, Cooper can be seen holding her growing bump as Kaplan faces away from the camera and she sits on his chair’s armrest.

“Our family,” the caption read, followed by a white love heart.

The announcement was flooded with more than a million likes and almost 10,000 comments from the likes of Khloe Kardashian, Kesha, Taylor Lautner, and her beloved “daddy gang”.

An hour later, the businesswoman shared a photo of a bag of lollies sitting on her bump on her Instagram story.

“Honestly happy I can finally stop trying to hide the bump lol,” she wrote.

Afterwards, she posted an image of two drinks sitting on a table at sunset, her mocktail and Kaplan’s cocktail.

She said she was “finding some fab drink concoctions” during her pregnancy.

Cooper and Kaplan tied the knot in 2024 after a year-long engagement.

The pair met in 2020 over Zoom while Cooper was meeting with television and film producers.

“I got on Zoom and immediately started thinking, ‘Wow, this producer is very handsome—but, stay focused Alex’. There were about five other people on the Zoom from his company, but I kept just staring at Matt’s video square,” she told Vogue after their wedding.

The wedding was held in Riviera Maya in Mexico and was featured in the fashion magazine.

“It was everything we wanted it to be,” Cooper said of the day.

“It was emotional, heartfelt, and we tailored it to exactly how we always envisioned it.”
